IN250 — Declaration of Independence Semiquincentennial Celebration Kickoff Event
Our IN250 kickoff event at the Indiana Statehouse on December 12, 2023 paid homage to the historic Boston Tea Party of 1773 as we commemorated the beginning of our exciting programming leading to America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. Thanks to our incredible partnership with Sagamore Institute we celebrated the spirit of unity, civic engagement, and patriotism as attendees immersed themselves in the rich history of our nation by interacting with original sources made available by the Trust. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sagamore Institute for their collaboration, the Indiana Semiquincentennial Commission, and a special thank you to Dan Miller for his captivating stories recalling America’s previous anniversary celebrations in 1826, 1876, 1926, and 1976.
